The lake is stocked with approx 300/350 carp (mainly mirrors but some commons) the best recorded weight to date is one at 48lb and there are also approx 10 large catfish up around 80lb and a good head of silver fish.
The lake is fully classified as a ‘closed water’ with its 30 year tourist license having been renewed in 2004. The lake is stream and spring fed and it keeps its water level all year round. The depth ranges from approx 18ft at its deepest down to 7ft, with an area set aside for spawning.
The lake is accessible all around with a road way and prepared swims.
